Question:
Hi, can FCC approval utilise for Russian approval for Bluetooth LE product?
Lasse 9/27/2019 2:55:01 PM
Answer:
Hi Lasse,
Bluetooth LE products usually require a EAC declaration TR CU EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) only. FCC approval can’t be used for EAC approval since Russia do not have a two-way agreement with USA. But, in any case, the FCC test report could be useful as a detailed tech description of the product.
Certificate.Net Expert 9/30/2019 11:33:01 AM
Question:
Hi, can the EAC mark only be shown on the device's display instead of being affixed to device? br -Lasse-
Lasse 10/11/2018 10:39:07 AM
Answer:
Hi Lasse,
EAC mark must not be shown on the device’s display only. In this case the EAC mark is not accessible for inspection while the display is turned off or broken, which is not allowed by TR CU. In the same time, according to the TR CU 004/2011 “Low Voltage Equipment” and TR CU 020/2011 “Electromagnetic Compatibility” «4. Affixing of a single mark of market access of the Member States of the Customs Union only on packaging and its indication in the attached operational documents is allowed in case a single mark of market access can’t be affixed directly on a technical device due to its specific construction.» I hope this helps you.

Also he will need a product’s user manual officially translated to Russian.
Cost & time:
  • USD * for single shipment EAC DoC.
  • USD * for 1 year valid EAC DoC.
  • USD * for 5 years valid EAC DoC.
Lead time 2-4 working days. When the EAC DoC will be issued the info about it will appear in the EAC registry.Russian customs use this registry to check if a declaration exists and valid.

Question:
What kind of certificate we need for our GPON product(OLT +ONT). Thank you very much!

Dear Jacob,
In case of using a 220V AC power source the ONT is the subject of EAC declaration.
If the ONT uses some wireless interfaces then it needs to have a RFC certificate.

Question:
Hi, We are sending bank debit cards from London to our Russia bank branch via courier. Customs have held it, as they are asking for an FSB notification for this product. Could you please advise if this is correct and if so, what do we need to do?
Kavitha 1/19/2017 3:00:33 PM
Answer:
Hi Kavitha,
It depends on functions of the cards. If cards has chips with hardware encryption (DES, 3DES, AES, RSA, SHA, MD5 etc.) like in Smart Cards, Java Cards, Mifare Cards - then the FSS notification should be registered.
If you have a technical specification for cards chips please send it to me for more concrete answer.
In other case if cards do not have any encryption it should be imported without any additional permissions.
