The Answers

1. I found just the right article to add to my web site. What do I have to do to use it?

The only requirements are that you:

1. Leave the article intact the way it was written.
   
2. Leave the reciprocal link back to WWIO at the end of the article.
   
3. Leave the authors biography and resource box intact
   

On every article page of WWIO you will see the option to "Send this page to a friend". YOu may use this box to send a copy of the article to yourself. It will arrive in text form in your email box, usually within seconds of sending it. Please remember to leave the text intact including the link to WWIO at the end of each text version and let us know where you will be using the article(s).

Yes. You must request special permission to use any article from WWIO in any form of traditional print media such as newspapers, trade journals, newsletters, magazines, etc..

Send your request to permission@certificate.net. Include the WWIO article title, the name of the publication you wish to print in and the date it will appear.

Our articles may not be used on servers that have Terms Of Service agreements that allow the owners of those servers to use, change, add to or take possession of our content in any way, shape or form. If you are using a free server such as Yahoo/GeoCities, iVillage, FreeYellow, etc. PLEASE read your TOS carefully before putting any content from WWIO on them.

That one is easy. First, we'd love to read your article and see if we could use it on WWIO. Simply visit our guidelines or request them from our autoresponder and then submit your article or idea following them.

That's a very good question. I wish we could pay you a million dollars for your great article but we can't. WWIO is based on "giving something back to the web" and to the idea of allowing the "free flow of information". There are too many places online now that no longer offer something for free when they used to. With that said, your article on WWIO might bring some visitors to your site. After all, we are a very popular place and the chances of your article being seen and used by many of our visitors are great. Our visitors spend an average of 3 minutes per page, which means they do read the articles they are interested in. We list every page with the major search engines which will also give you some additional visibility.
